Nearly every trekking region in Nepal requires specific entry permits and conservation passes.
Required Standard Documents
- 4 passport-size photographs.
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity.
- Nepal tourist visa.
- Proof of travel insurance with high-altitude helicopter evacuation coverage.
Common Permit Costs (as of 2026)
- Sagarmatha National Park (Everest): NPR 3,000 + Khumbu Rural Municipality fee NPR 2,000.
- Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP): NPR 3,000.
- Manaslu Restricted Area (RAP): US $100/week (Sep–Nov) or US $75/week (Dec–Aug).
- TIMS Card: NPR 2,000 for individual trekkers through registered agencies.
